Pest Exclusion Services

Practical exclusion work that helps prevent pests and wildlife from entering vulnerable areas.

Exclusion considers how animals may be accessing a property and what can appropriately be done to reduce that access. It is broader than covering an isolated opening: identification, current activity, the surrounding building and the timing of any work all matter. Contact EcoSafe to confirm the options available for the species and property.

Who the service is for

  • Homes with exterior access concerns
  • Commercial and industrial building perimeters
  • Strata common areas and shared building edges

What the assessment may cover

An assessment may consider rooflines, soffits, vents, utility penetrations, wall gaps, foundation openings and garage or door gaps. Access limitations and signs of current animal activity help determine what can be assessed. Mice, rats, raccoons, squirrels and birds may raise different questions. Bird and wildlife options depend on the species, location, season and applicable regulations; this is not an assurance that any animal can be removed.

Prevention and property protection

Entry-point sealing may form part of an exclusion plan where the opening is accessible and the work is appropriate. Discuss the sequence of work and any building responsibilities before an opening is altered. Recommendations are designed to help reduce access, not to promise permanent prevention of every future entry. Building repairs or work on specialist systems should be separately assessed and confirmed.
